The Dog Days of Summer!
Hi everyone,
We hope you're all doing well and enjoying the summer. It seems like it's always summer down here in Southwest Florida! Today was especially hot so we decided to head to my in-laws' pool to cool off. Chloe, our fur baby, decided to partake in the action as well! Here are a few pictures...
We have a few more things ready for the nursery and I'm getting really excited for the end product. I hope it turns out as nicely as I envision it! Check back soon for pictures of the progress.
Enjoy the dog days of summer!
Love,
Kim (and Chloe)

Kids Say the Darndest Things!
Hi everyone,
We hope you had a Happy 4th of July! Greg and I went to a Fort Myers Miracle game (minor league baseball team) with his parents and after the game they had a great fireworks show. Our baby girl was doing what felt like karate while the fireworks were going off. I hope she wasn't too scared of the noise!
As you can see, my belly is growing at a rapid pace! Today when I was at Target (during one of my many trips since I've been in "nesting mode") a mom walked by with her three little boys. As they passed by me, one of them said, "Look mom, that girl has a watermelon under her shirt!" At first I had the urge to look around to see who they were talking about until I realized they were talking about ME! The mom didn't say anything and I was in total shock. I guess now I know first-hand what it means when people say, Don't kids say the darndest things!

Butterflies in My Belly!
Hi everyone,
I'm officially 5 months pregnant! I can't believe that I only have 4 more months to go. I know they will fly by. I think I felt our baby girl's first few kicks last night as we were hanging out at home. It's the most amazing feeling I have ever felt. It really is like having a little butterfly fluttering around inside of you. :)

Here's an updated belly pic for all of you that I haven't seen in a while.

I will continue to post pictures to share my belly growth with everyone!

Weekend Projects!
Hi everyone,

Happy Father's Day to the daddy-to-be, Greg! :) I know he will be the best dad a girl could ask for!
Greg and I have had a very productive weekend. Now that we've chosen the bedding for our baby girl's room, we've been able to do a few more things in preparation for her arrival. For those of you who have lived with me and know me well, it won't come as a surprise to hear that I want everything in order and perfect for her. Since I really do enjoy decorating and doing some "DIY" projects (when I have time) I've been having a lot of fun with the nursery! I thought I'd share the progress with all of you...
Here's a picture of the memory board that I made, the picture frame that I embellished, along with the pillow of the baby bedding.

And here's a picture of the closet system we put together. If our little girl is going to be anything like her mommy, then she's going to need all the space she can get for her clothes.

That's about all for now. We still have a lot to do but it's been really fun so far so we're looking forward to the rest!
We hope all of the dads out there had a Happy Father's Day!
Love,
Kim and Greg

November 9th!
Hi everyone,
Sorry it has been a while since our last update. We went back to the doctor today for our follow up appointment and everything looked great. The doctor decided to change my due date from October 31st to November 9th. All of the ultrasounds that we've had have been consistent, which made the doctor confident enough to change the date. By the way, they say the most accurate way to estimate a due date is from the measurements of the first ultrasound, which indicated a due date of 11/9. With that date, our baby is exactly where she should be, in the 61st percentile, weighing 9 oz. and measuring a little over 9 inches long. I will be 19 weeks tomorrow, which for those of you who aren't sure what that exactly means, the baby is comparable to the size of a mango...and my belly is proof of it! :) We have 149 days until we get to see our little bundle of joy and we're so excited. We're going to be busy deciding on a name (which by the way is a really difficult thing to do), decorating the nursery and learning as much as we possibly can so we can be the best parents to our little baby girl!

Memorial Day Weekend!
Hi everyone,
We hope you all had a nice holiday weekend! Greg and I had a great time with my parents in town. We did a lot of shopping for our new baby girl and had so much fun. We were able to meet up with Greg's parents one night for cocktails and appetizers to discuss an important topic... What will our baby girl call each of them?!?! They wouldn't just settle for Grandma and Grandpa. It had to be cute and representative of them. After a few rounds of drinks (I was drinking water, of course) we came up with the following names...
My mom (Regina) will be GiGi.
My dad (Joe) will be Papa Joe.
Greg's mom (Pam) will be Grammy Pammy.
Greg's dad (George) will be GeeP. (Pronounced like Jeep)
Here's a picture of the parents-to-be, GiGi, Papa Joe, Grammy Pammy and GeeP.

We can't forget about our first baby, Chloe, who turned 2 on May 28th. She's so excited to become a big sister. Here's a picture of our little fur baby!
