Memorial Day Weekend!

Hi everyone,
We hope you all had a nice holiday weekend! Greg and I had a great time with my parents in town. We did a lot of shopping for our new baby girl and had so much fun. We were able to meet up with Greg's parents one night for cocktails and appetizers to discuss an important topic... What will our baby girl call each of them?!?! They wouldn't just settle for Grandma and Grandpa. It had to be cute and representative of them. After a few rounds of drinks (I was drinking water, of course) we came up with the following names...

My mom (Regina) will be GiGi.
My dad (Joe) will be Papa Joe.

Greg's mom (Pam) will be Grammy Pammy.
Greg's dad (George) will be GeeP. (Pronounced like Jeep)

Here's a picture of the parents-to-be, GiGi, Papa Joe, Grammy Pammy and GeeP.

We can't forget about our first baby, Chloe, who turned 2 on May 28th. She's so excited to become a big sister. Here's a picture of our little fur baby!

It's a ...

Hi everyone,

We had our big ultrasound this morning and the ultrasound technician was able to determine that Greg and I are having a baby GIRL! We're so excited! We didn't have a preference either way but we are extremely happy with the news. It's nice to finally know so we can start thinking about names and of course start shopping for cute baby girl clothes! We have to go back in 3 weeks because she measured in at 16 weeks even though the doctor told me that I'm 17 weeks along. In order to make sure she's growing and progressing at a good rate we're going in for a follow up ultrasound. I gained a pound and a half since my last appointment so hopefully we're on the right track. My due date is either a week off, which can be adjusted, or we're just having a little baby. :) Keep your fingers crossed that it's nothing to worry about. Of course I'm going to worry until we go back for the follow up but I guess now I understand what it means to be a parent. I don't think you ever stop worrying! Other than that, her heart rate was 150 beats per minute, which is great and all of her organs were perfect. That's our girl! :)

Here are some pictures of our little angel!

Resting peacefully!

Her left arm is up in this picture!

Belly Pictures!

Hi everyone,
It seems like this week my belly has started to show more than ever. I swear it seems like it happened over night! I'm 16 weeks along now so I think from this point forward I'm only going to get bigger and show even more! I'm so excited though. Now I can park in the "expectant mother" parking spots while I'm out shopping without getting dirty looks! Don't worry, I'm only joking. :)

Greg took a few pictures of me so I wanted to share them with all of you.

Oh, and one last thing, I couldn't post to the blog today (5/14) without telling my dad HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Next year he'll be a grandpa! And a great one at that!

Love,
Kim and Greg

Big News!

Hi everyone and welcome to our blog,

Greg and I wanted to share some big news with all of you. I'm 15 weeks pregnant!!!! We are so excited to have a little bun in the oven. Our due date is October 31st so instead of 'trick or treat,' we're getting a sweet little treat!

So far things have been going really well. My morning sickness has subsided, thankfully, and a baby bump is beginning to show. We're scheduled to find out the gender on May 23rd (hopefully the baby is positioned well so we can make a determination) so we're all really looking forward to that appointment. My parents will be in town for Memorial Day weekend so hopefully we'll get to start shopping for either blue or pink!

We decided to create this blog and share our wonderful news since so many of our family and friends are spread across the country, so be sure to check back every once in a while for updates and pictures.

Love,
Kim and Greg
