4 months old!

Hi everyone,

This past Monday, Elise turned 4 months old! She had her 4 month well-visit and she now weighs 15 pounds, 2 ounces (86th percentile) and is 26.5 inches long (99th percentile). She also has two little teeth in her mouth, which explains the massive amounts of drool that she produces! The doctor said that we can start feeding Elise rice cereal so we did that today and she did really well. I wasn't sure what to expect but she really liked it and managed to keep most of the cereal in her mouth.

Here she is laying on her nap mat.

Attempting to crawl!

The first spoonful...

Enjoying her cereal!

She's such a big girl!

She liked it so much, she was crying for more!

We're attempting to upload the video we took of Elise eating her cereal so if it works, we'll post it here for your viewing pleasure! :)

Love,
Kim

Hi there,

So today was quite an exciting day...Elise rolled over for the first time! She was doing tummy time with her daddy and aunt Natty, and she rolled over twice. I, unfortunately missed the big milestone but that's okay, I was just so excited that she actually rolled over! Here are some pictures of tummy time:

Elise has her 4 month well-visit this coming Monday and I just can't believe she is almost 4 months old! She is still teething a ton but so far we haven't seen anymore teeth. I have a feeling we are going to wake up one morning and she's going to have entire mouthful of teeth with the amount of drool that she produces! :) She's still sleeping really well, going 10 hours at a time some nights, so Greg and I feel very lucky! Here are a few more pictures for you:

We hope you are all doing well. Check back for an update soon!
Love,
Kim

This Time Last Year...

I was 1 week pregnant! Can you believe it?! Time flies too fast!! Well we survived my first week back at work. It wasn't bad actually...a lot better than I had expected. Monday was the hardest day but since everyone was asking lots of questions, I talked about Elise all day and showed pictures so it felt like she was there with me. At the end of the day, I was SO excited to get home to see her and when I walked in the house, she flashed the biggest smile! It was precious and made me feel soooo good! It was nice to be home on Wednesday and today with Elise (Wednesdays and Fridays are my "work at home" days). The two days at home are great and I think an ideal situation because I really do enjoy the adult interaction that I get when I go into the office the other three days. I know that I will have some tough days when I miss a "first" of Elise's when I'm at work, but I think the time we spend apart will help us appreciate each other so I am going to have a good attitude! ;)

Here are some new pictures of our sweetie! Here she is, giving mommy a thumbs-up!

Doesn't she look like she's scheming in this picture?!

This one melts my heart!

That's all for now. Have a great weekend!
Love,
Kim

Baby, It's COLD Outside!

Hi there,

Considering that it has been in the 30s overnight here in "sunny" Florida, I know it has been cold for all of you that are up north! The temps during the day have been in the 50s, which is still cold for the area. When we take Elise out, we make sure to bundle up "our little bundle" so she stays cozy and warm! Here are a couple of pictures of Elise in her hat:

I took Elise to the doctor on Friday for her next round of immunizations and she weighed in at 14 pounds, 1 ounce. Considering that she is supposed to double her birth weight at her 4 month appointment, she is well on her way! She still has 1 pound and 7 ounces to go but I have faith that she will get there by the time her 4 month appointment rolls around!

In other news, my first day back at work is tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting on somewhat of a routine but will miss my little angel terribly. I know she is in good hands but it's still hard. These past 3 months have been great and now that she is getting more interactive and fun, it's of course time for me to go back to work. At least I only have to go into the office 3 days a week...it could be worse!

For those of you who are football fans, have a happy Super Bowl Sunday!
Till next time!

Love,
Kim
