Monday, Monday

We had such a fun weekend that it was so hard to get up this morning and head to work. Friday night we stayed in and got a good night's sleep because Greg and I ran a 5K on Saturday morning. I have been working really hard to get back in shape after having Elise and even though the course was really hard (SO many hills!), I was really happy with my performance. Greg beat me by about a minute so my goal now is to beat him at the next race. ;)

The rest of the weekend we played outside, went to a bbq at our friend's house, and did a little shopping. It was a really fun weekend and we're already looking forward to the next one!

Weekend Fun!

The weather has finally started to cooperate so we've been taking advantage of the warm, sunny days here! This past weekend, we conquered another first - we took Elise "swimming!" She loves her baths so we knew that she would really like the water. We have actual video that's adorable (I promise to post it later) but here are a couple pics of the little doll all ready to start swimming!







In other news, we found another tooth this weekend! One of her top front teeth has popped out and the other one doesn't seem too far behind. ;) She really is growing up fast!

Aquarium!

We had a nice Memorial Day weekend even though the weather was gloomy and rainy.  Since we couldn't do anything outdoors, we decided to take a trip to the aquarium.  I was a little apprehensive taking Elise, but she did great.  Here are some pics from our little day trip.

In other news, Elise is in the beginning stages of crawling.  She has gotten really good at going backwards and rocking so I have a feeling in about a week she will be unstoppable.  YIKES!

6 Month Photos!

A couple weeks ago we had Elise's 6 month photos taken. Don't mind the little scab on her nose - she scraped it on the side of her pack n play a couple days before the photo shoot. :) Hope you enjoy!

My First Mother's Day!

I have to admit, I felt a little weird celebrating Mother's Day last Sunday.  I mean, I know full well that I am a mom to the most precious little angel, but for the past 28 years of my life, I have spent the day as a child, showering my mom!  Greg and Elise made my first Mother's Day so special that I am already looking forward to next year! :)  A gourmet breakfast and a beautiful necklace, not to mention a beautiful, healthy daughter - what more could I ask for!?

6 Months Old!

Can you believe Elise is six months old already?! Where does the time go? Elise has been sitting up by herself and has even started waving bye-bye. It seems like she is doing something new every day which is very exciting. ;) We took Elise to her six month-well visit this morning and she weighs 18 pounds, 2 ounces and is 28 inches long, which puts her in the 90th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for height! The doctor gave her a great report and hopes to not have to see her till her 9 month appointment. I hope you enjoy some new pictures of our little angel!
