New Accomplishments and Pictures!

It has been so amazing watching Elise grow up right before our eyes and to experience all of the changes that take place, especially at this age! Elise has been on a roll lately, doing something new practically everyday. She has become a pro at clapping her hands, giving high-fives, puckering her lips like she's giving kisses, and standing un-assisted for about 10 seconds at a time. She has also gotten very good at imitating us. If I sniff my nose, she will too. If I clear my throat, she will too. It's adorable and makes us laugh everytime! We've realized how much she loves to see us smile and laugh, and how playful she is! I absolutely love seeing her personality develop!

Hope you enjoy some new pictures!

I caught her waving here:

Playing with some toys:

Her hair is finally long enough for barrettes!

Love the close-ups!

Playing with a cell phone - looks like she's sending a text message! ;)

Finally, one more tooth just appeared yesterday - she now has a total of 7! So exciting!!

9 Month Old Stats!

Yesterday was Elise's 9 month well-visit and it went great! She only had to get one shot, which was good, but this time she didn't scream after the needle-prick...she whimpered! It was the saddest thing I have ever seen and we felt SO bad for her. By the time we got back to the car to leave, she was as good as new! :) She is now 30.5 inches long (off-the-charts!) and almost 21 pounds, 75th percentile.

Here are some pictures from Elise's 9 month photo shoot:

Happy, Happy Birthday, Baby!

Elise is 9 months old today - three months away from being one year! WOW! I can honestly say that the time just keeps getting better and better. Her personality is really starting to shine and she is such a sweetheart. She loves being out and about, she loves being with people and smiling, and is even a little bit nosey! She's getting at least one more tooth that we know of, climbing the entire flight of stairs, playing peek-a-boo and becoming such a little cuddler - which of course, we LOVE! Her well-visit is in a couple weeks so I'm looking forward to finding out her height and weight. From what we can tell by the rest of the kids in her Gymboree classes, she's still on the taller side! :)

She got into a box of business cards:

Photo shoot from Saturday:

If you look closely, you can see all four teeth!

Posing for the camera!

Till next time!

So Many Changes!

We've had a busy couple weeks! Elise is getting more and more mobile with each passing day. She is now a master crawler and of course going for everything that is not intended for her - shoes, dog bowls, dog toys, etc! She's climbing the stairs, with our assistance of course, and everytime she climbs a few of them, she gets the biggest smile on her face like she knows she has just accomplished something MAJOR! :) We've heard a couple 'ma mas' and 'da das' but for now they're infrequent and random - soon enough though! She still has a healthy appetite and is now eating Cheerios and other little snack foods with her own little fingers, it's the cutest thing ever! We just discovered another little tooth on the bottom, which makes a total of 5!

Here are a few new pictures of our sweet baby girl:

The event of this weekend was Elise's baptism. She is officially the newest member of the Catholic church and we are so happy about it! She looked and acted like an angel during the entire ceremony.

I can't believe another weekend is over - they seem to be going faster and faster! This week will be a busy one, celebrating my mom's birthday, seeing Greg's parents and celebrating Greg and I's 3rd wedding anniversary! :)

Picture Post

Last weekend we went back to Florida to celebrate Jodie & Bob's couples shower. As I mentioned, it was Elise's first plane ride and her first "vacation" and she did great. Here are some pictures from our fun getaway weekend!

Elise's first trip to the airport - taking pics in the parking garage! ;)

In the pool at Grandma & Grandpa's in Florida!

Elise, Greg, and GREAT Grandma Lee! Such a good picture!

Taking a break from the festivities to feed the babe!

Such a good one of Daddy & Daughter!

Me and my sisters-in-law...I swear I'm not as short as I look here, I'm just wearing flats!

Three Generations!

We had a great 4th of July! The 10K went really well - all of us finished with good times and felt pretty good afterwards - although we're all a bit sore today! :) To celebrate, we had a bbq and made mojitos - yum! Once it got dark, we played with sparklers, which Elise LOVED!

Finally, here's a picture of our little spit-fire, standing up in her crib!

8 Months Old - Where Does the Time Go?

Today Elise is 8 months old!! I can't believe in 4 months she will already be a year old - the time is flying by! Over the past couple of weeks, Elise has accomplished quite a bit, she's now crawling ALL over the house, pulling herself up from a sitting position, babbling "ba-ba" and more! She even took her very first plane ride last week and was a perfect angel the entire time! ;) Our computer is having some problems so I'm unable to post pictures today, but I promise to post some soon.

We hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July! Tomorrow Greg, my dad and I are running a 10K - the Peachtree Road Race. I'm excited for it, but I'm also looking forward to celebrating at the finish line!

Kim
