Finally...

I'm finally getting around to posting the rest of our vacation pics. I realize our HH trip was in August but better late than never, right?!

My mom, sister, and I at a restaurant called One Hot Mama! :)

One morning we took a bike ride around the Island. I tried to ride with Elise but it was SO hard. Greg took over and did a great job! Elise loved it!! ;)

Greg and Elise at dinner one night - we got Mexican, can you tell by the background?!

The whole group!

We kayaked around the bay - Elise loved it until the shrimp starting jumping in our boat!

The day we rented a boat was our favorite day!

My dad and Elise! Enjoying the ride.

Elise loved driving the boat. Every couple of minutes she would shout, Are you ready to go fast!?!!?!

We saw so many dolphins - they were everywhere!!

A family shot!

Flying kites on the beach!

Our little fish!

Sporting her puddle jumper - next year I have a feeling she won't need it anymore!

How we spent most of the afternoons - jumping in the pool over and over again!

Our last night on HHI we went to Salty Dog Cafe. Every time we've gone to HH, we've eaten at Salty Dog so we couldn't miss it this year. For those of you that are not familiar with the restaurant, it's tiny and there's always a several hour wait to get seated inside. We didn't let that stop us though...because we had Greg getting us drinks the entire time we waited! :)

We all had such a great time together and can't wait to do it again soon!!

Vacation, Play Dates and another Birthday Party!

A couple days after I posted last we headed to the beach for a (much needed) week-long vacation with my parents and sister. We got there the day after Greg and I's 5 year wedding anniversary and the day of my mom's birthday. Needless to say we did a lot of celebrating! Since I'm still collecting pictures from my mom and sister, I'll just give you a sneak peak of the fun we had!

The day we got there! First stop, the beach!

Co-captains of our boat!

Do you think Elise has enough floats?

My sister, mom and I at dinner.

Greg was the lucky one who got to blow up all of the floats!

Our little beach bunny!

When we got back from vacation, the fun continued. We had a play date with Elise's friends, Ella, Blake, Kate and baby Kingsley.

Playing the drums until we had to "hide" the drumsticks!

Next fun stop - hair cut!
Elise got her hair cut before starting her first day in her new big girl classroom!

And finally, we went to the cutest birthday party - it was a farm theme!

Here's Elise inside the petting zoo with her cowgirl hat!

Here are some of the animals that Elise got to see - she was really scared to pet them!

She finally got up the nerve to pet the bunny! :)

July Happenings

July has been a busy month so far. Elise had her first dentist appointment a couple of weeks ago which went better than I had expected. The dentist sure has changed since I was a little girl. They now have bubble gum flavored gloves that the hygienists and dentists wear, amazing murals and flat screen tvs on the ceiling above every chair for the kiddos to look at and watch while laying in the exam chair, and TONS of toys and gifts! I swear, it almost felt like Christmas because around every corner there was a new toy or surprise. I guess they do whatever they can to make the first dentist experience a good one...I can't say that I blame them!! :)

We've also been busy with birthday parties, play-dates, and special theme days at school!

Elise was SO excited for her friend Zoe's Birthday Party!

Elise had to hold hands to go down the slides!

The three musketeers...Elise, Kenley and Elle!

Taking a break from the slides to drive the car!

Here's Elise before school on "Wear your Favorite Sunglasses!" Day.

In between all of that we even found some down time to just hang out and play!

Next week we'll be at the beach - can't wait!!

The last couple of months

I'm not sure why it has been so hard for me to keep the blog up-to-date...every time I remember that I need to update it, I get distracted and do something else! In my defense, we have been busy this summer but I'm going to do my best to get back on track.

The last time I posted was in May so I'll start with Mother's Day. Greg surprised me with tickets for a garden tour around the city. There were about 10 homes around the Atlanta area that were a part of the tour and they had the most amazing gardens and outdoor living spaces. Elise wasn't feeling well that day but we had fun nonetheless!

All because of this little one I get to celebrate Mother's Day! :)

Growing up so fast!

Later in the month, we went to Florida to celebrate my sister-in-law's wedding. We were able to find some time to play in the pool in between all of the festivities! Elise loved jumping in and having Greg catch her.

All three of us were in the wedding, which went off without a hitch!! Here's our little flower girl who did great, by the way. I was so proud of her - she took her role of flower girl very seriously!! :)

Onto June - we've been spending time outside, cooling off with the sprinkler. It sure has been a hot summer with no sign of relief anytime soon.

Nice and refreshing!

Elise has her very first dentist appointment coming up so we've been taking extra special care of her teeth! Picking out what toothbrush to use is a very big decision for her these days!

I'm not exactly sure what is happening in this picture but I think she's sticking magnets on the oven. She looks so grown up here! :(

If anyone still reads this, I promise to be back soon with another post. ;)

Gymnastics!

Elise started gymnastics a couple weeks ago and she loves it. She's typically very cautious but not with gymnastics. She wants to try every activity and she was the one and only kiddo to try a backward roll!! :) Here are some pics of Elise in action!

Turning to see mommy!

On the balance beam!

Swinging like a monkey on the bar!

Her little toes are even pointed!! :)

Only two more classes left but I'm sure we'll be signing up again!!

Easter Recap!

Visiting the Easter Bunny went about as well as the Santa visit. :( Elise was petrified so we skipped sitting on his lap this year and went on the merry-go-round instead!

We hosted Easter at our house and my family came to celebrate the day with us!

Here's Elise with Aunt Natalie!

What did the Easter Bunny bring you Elise?

She finally realizes the house is hers! :)

The first thing she grabbed was the phone!

We had a little egg hunt in our yard...Elise found all of them with grandpa's help!

We had to get some pictures in front of her new house!

We had a great Easter and can't wait till next year!
